With the persistence of systemic racism and injustices, and the troubling rise in white supremacist organizing and acts of racist terror, I was happy to collaborate with the new Migrant Rights Network on an animated GIF and set of social media shareables to mark their launch.
Here in Canada, on the eve of a federal election this fall, we are already seeing opportunist politicians embrace the politics of fear and try to scapegoat migrants. The Migrant Rights Network formed to push back against these false “blame immigrant” narratives.
